I found a home

Hi!  My name is Ruby and this is my adventures as a puppy and training my new humans.  I am 10wks old.  My doggie mom was a Golden Lab but they don't know who my dad was.  I seem to have a little bit of everything but I think I make mutt look good!!

Many people think that they pick their pets but it's not that way.  We pick our families and I picked a very nice family yesterday.  I know the moment I saw my hooman mom that she was for me and thankfully she agreed.  All I had to do was walk over and sit down and look at her.  There was also a really nice kid there too who seemed to like me too.  Then there is the hooman dad who is pretty cool too.  They bought we a really pretty pink leash and it makes me feel really girly to wear it.

They brought me home, wow, big house, and what are those other furry things?  They have four legs and fur but they don't smell or move like dogs.  I want to be friends but they don't seem to like me yet.  They keep watching me and I will keep trying.

I'm trying very hard to learn to go potty outside.  It's a lot of work to remember but thankfully the hoomans here seem very patient.  I really love the hugs and kisses I get when I do it right but they never yell or hit me when I have a accident.

They made a really nice bed for me to sleep in last night and it was so warm and cozy.  I woke up though and it was dark and I got scared.  None of my brothers or sisters were there and I couldn't find my hoomans.  I let out a howl that I didn't even know I had in me and there they were to reassure me.  We went outside even though it was dark and there was something that the hooman called rain.  I didn't like that all that much....

We came in and I really tried to snuggle in the doggie bed but I was lonely so they brought me way up high into what they called a bed.  I was able to snuggle between the two of them and I slept so much better then.

This morning was busy, we went out twice but I forgot about potty outside but I will try again.  We went for a walk again in the rain.  I still don't like it but the hooman talked to me as we walked.  I was very cold when we came in but she wrapped me in a warm towel and wiped the rain from my paws and belly.  She gives lots of kisses.

I played and tried to be friends with the other furry things this morning.  One of them is silly, he is all sleek and not very big but then he puffs up his fur and his back half looks so big.  It's supposed to be scary but I think it's funny.
